Background Information:

The Community Engagement Internship is an opportunity for high school and college students to gain experience in marketing, project management, and business development. This position is unpaid with the chance for a recommendation/commendation letter and priority review for tutor applications.
Qualifications for Community Engagement Interns:

Current High School or College Student Residing in the Town of Interest

Time Commitment

Available 8-12 Hours per week over the summer starting in August 2024

Available 2-4 Hours per week during the school year

Consistent access to transportation

Leadership Experience: Held leadership positions in multiple school or community organizations

Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Community Involvement: Active participation in community service or outreach programs.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to connect and build relationships with a diverse range of individuals.

Responsibilities for Community Engagement Interns:

Outreach Activities: Conduct outreach activities to promote Emperor Tutoring in community centers.

Community Networking: Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, tutors, and parents.

Marketing Campaigns: Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to increase awareness.

Student Engagement: Engage with potential tutors through social media and in-person methods

Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from students, parents, and community members to improve services.

Promotional Materials: Distribute flyers, posters, and other promotional materials in the community.

Collaboration: Work with Executive Directors to align community engagement strategies with company goals.

Reporting: Track and report on community engagement activities and their outcomes.
